Banner Requests


Well we're getting some good articles by some awesome people and you know what that means: BANNERS! Banners for your mother, banners for your father, banners every day of the week.

"But where can I get one, JT?" you might ask aloud, not aware that I can't hear you.

Well you can get one here in this thread!

Each banner is custom made to your specifications! What can you expect when you ask for a banner here?

NOTE: While I'll make you a banner on request any time, your articles will be under temporary per-article banners for a few articles as per the editorial guidelines: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=1208

Once you get some under your belt and get a pace going the editors will slap on your beautiful columnist banner for your articles.

Edit: Just to be clear, these banners are for the articles/use on TCS. If you want to use it somewhere else I'd appreciate it if you contact me first, so I can know and beat the lawyers with a stick.

I already made a banner, but I think it's missing something. It's too dull, it's missing color I think. Do you think you could add a little bit of color? I was thinking something among these lines. Something like an old wanted poster.



I literally have no idea how designing works, so I don't know if my request is too hard or something like that. But I trust your good artistic skills. So, think you can help me? I would be really grateful!

That is AWESOME! You rock James! I only have on suggestion, do you think you could make the red on the sides less spotty? I think it would be perfect if it only was like a faint red glow from the sides. I would realy appreciate that. Again, it's wonderful and you rock James!!

I would like to humbly request a banner for my upcoming article.

I made one myself on the same banner making site that Eric used but Notch suggested I shouldn't use one with a tag on it.

Really the only non-negotiable thing on that is the title (I also quite like the font it's in). I like that bit because it's another eye joke (that's kinda my theme) otherwise I don't mind as long as it looks interesting.

Thanks Carp, I was sort of wondering how I'd get a banner sorted out.

Well, if you think I would be better off with a different font I'm certainly open to suggestions. I just like the words not necessarily the way they are presented. There's probably many cool fonts that are more legible than that one so it wouldn't be a problem to change it.
