Transcription of digital tape recorder labeled as EVIDENCE

It started slow at first.

One TSwift GIF. She was happy and dancing. It was used as a reaction to a post. We didn't think anything of it. She just looked so happy! We all used GIFs once in a while, why would we have thought it was significant?

Sorry, sorry, just...just give me a minute.

A sound of sighing is heard followed by ice rattling in a glass and swallowing.

Soon, we saw more and more of then. All TSwift. All reaction type GIFs. It became a bit of a running gag. It was funny.

sound of sobbing and unintelligible words

It wasn't funny. We-we didn't realize. We DIDN'T KNOW.

sound of angry screaming and glass shattering

HOW COULD WE KNOW THAT IT WAS A TYPE OF WORSHIP?! ALL THE THUMBS, ALL THE JOKES, ALL THE REPOSTS?! WE CREATED A GOD!

And it was hungry.

One...one of us seem to intuitively know what we were doing. He sobbing interlude he begged us to stop reposting images when we quoted people. He pleaded. Some of us heeded him, but not for the reasons he knew-that he was trying to keep it contained.

Then...then we stopped hearing from him. He went silent. He went dark. Not entirely unusual, we all got busy but it started to just feel wrong. There was a wrongness to the silence. All the while more and more TSwift GIFS appeared. They appeared in signatures, they appeared in posts that didn't have them-edited in by the missing user. Nervous chatter. Nervous laughter. And more and more of us went silent, of a sort. Soon, the only new posts were TSwift GIFs.

Then, evidence was linked in a CAaSS thread. The evidence was a nothing but a page full of TSwift GIFs.

frantic laughter

And then, then I saw Her.

She was on my screen. But I wasn't online. I ran, ran from my home, ran from the screams that I heard as she feasted.

I saw the paper later.

I saw what She did. The police might wonder why the organs were missing.

But Gods get hungry. And we are Her bounty.

I left my phone behind. I'm avoiding all computers.

I know she'll still find me. So I'm leaving this behind. To warn you all. To explain. To say I'm sorry and beg for forgiveness.

Sobbing heard. Then screams. A wet, ripping noise if heard. Then what sounds like Taylor Swift singing gleefully 'Shake It Off.'
