Man, who remembers this show?

It had Jewel Staite as the engineer...then she was the engineer on Firefly! What are the odds?

So today is Sunday, and it is Cinco de Mayo, and as such, there isn't much to report.

EXCEPT WHAT GANYMEDE314 HAS TO SAY, AND IT'S AWESOME!

Everybody's favourite Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield shared this photo on Twitter recently, showing a "bullet hole" in one of the solar panels on the ISS. It was probably caused by a micrometeorite or a piece of punk-ass space debris, travelling at a speed of about 25,000 mph. As the man himself said "Glad it didn't hit the hull."

Here's a close-up of the damage:

In other news, Astronomers have recently observed the most energetic, and longest lasting Gamma Ray Burst ever recorded. (That's what she said?)

Anyway, this is pretty exciting, because it was probably due to the final collapse of a massive star, and as such we should be able to observe the resulting supernova sometime around the middle of this month. It's also exciting because it occurred relatively close to us- only 3.6 billion light years away! Practically down the road and around the corner.

And here is a very pretty image of Grand Spiral Galaxy M81:

I asked her to take a picture posing in front of a white board with a bunch of math on it, for the sake of science, of course, but got no response.

One day.

Share them on Facebook if you love me and Ganymede314. If you don't, she might cry. Is that what you want?
