These may not be weird enough for here, but I’m not sure they deserve their own threads.

A patient was forcibly taken from the Mayo Clinic... by her family, after they said the hospital tried to kidnap her. I just found this saved in my drafts from a few weeks ago, so I’m not sure what has happened since then.

More recently, an astronomer has argued that Pluto is, in fact, a planet.

Paul Gosar is an Arizona Republican congressman with nine siblings. Six of those siblings starred in an attack ad for his Democratic opponent. Apparently he is basically that crazy racist uncle everyone has, only he managed to get elected to Congress.

The video is in the linked article, but also below:

I'm interested in the brother who is a Private Investigator filmed at a stadium. What is he investigating? Which sports team is he trying to prove are a buncha cheaters? Did he just blow his cover? WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Also, can I go to their family Thanksgiving in his place?

A Frontier Airlines flight was delayed for two hours when a woman attempted to board with a squirrel she claimed was an emotional support animal. When the airline asked her to leave, she refused, and the police had to be called to remove her from the plane.

According to its website, Frontier's policy reads: "We do not accept unusual or exotic animals including but not limited to rodents, reptiles, insects, hedgehogs, rabbits, sugar gliders, non-household birds or improperly cleaned and/or animals with foul odor."

Racists! You'll be hearing from my gharial's lawyer. He's really one hell of a litagator.

Wait, what is a non-household bird? If it lives in my house it's a household bird.

And who determines the proper way to clean an animal?

The Mayor of Fall River, youngest person ever to be elected mayor of a city of that size, started a fake company which he used as a slush fund. It's like if the main character in ABC's smash-flop sitcom The Mayor were a terrible person.

Is he also the one behind the disastrous Ice Town?

In reaction to the Kavanaugh hearings, a woman in north Texas put out a yard sign in which the GOP elephant is grabbing a little girl by a pussy. The police claimed it is pornographic and removed it. I am pretty sure that this is unconstitutional, wonder if Kavanaugh would recuse himself if this case made it to SCOTUS.

"grabbing a little girl by a cat"

What's so pornographic about that?

Police arrested a man in Salisbury Cathedral for attempting to steal the Magna Carta by breaking its case open with a hammer. No word on how he planned to fence one of history's most famous documents.

Scientists intentionally published a misleading study that showed jumping from aircraft* with a parachute on was no more effective at preventing injuries than jumping from aircraft* with an ordinary backpack on.

*from about two feet off the ground, while the plane or helicopter is parked and turned off

Yeah, it seems to have been a joke on purpose and apparently, their Christmas week covers are usually not devoted to serious research topics :P

Since emojis don't work on here, I took a screenshot of that last article, because it's hilarious

A 27 year old Montana man was shot at after being mistaken for bigfoot.

“I thought you were Bigfoot,” the shooter told the victim in the victim’s telling of the story, according to Dutton. “I don’t target practice — but if I see something that looks like Bigfoot, I just shoot at it.”

Florida Man thinks that the cops can’t search his car if the keys are locked inside it.
Spoiler: show
They can.

He was charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors for the drugs they found, among other things.
