Introduce Yourself

Discussion, in general

Re: Introduce Yourself

Postby DrRinjswand » Thu Oct 12, 2017 1:26 pm

OK, as one of the resident newbies here, it's my turn to as some earth moving questions...

1) What is your favourite way to serve potatoes?

2)3DTV Fad or future?

3)Which of the quantum mechanics scientists would win a fist fight and why?

Thank you for your co-operation, and see you on the flip side...

DrRinjswand wrote:1) What is your favourite way to serve potatoes?

Roast. No question.

2)3DTV Fad or future?

Fad. By the time the mainstream is ready to move on from normal, VR will be perfected and reduced in price. 3D will get leapfrogged.

3)Which of the quantum mechanics scientists would win a fist fight and why?

Heisenberg. It's impossible to dodge his punches since you can't know where his fist is and how fast it's moving at the same time.

1. Oh man, that's a tough one. I love them mashed, baked, fried, stewed, boiled, broiled, cooked with a roast, I just love potatoes. I'll go with roasted, however.

2. Fad

3. Dirac.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

1) What is your favorite way to serve potatoes?

Mashed, because I can make some delicious mashed taters. Or steamed, because that's what I grew up on.

2)3DTV Fad or future?

Eh, fad. I think people will be fine with 2D TV and films basically forever.

3)Which of the quantum mechanics scientists would win a fist fight and why?

I'm going to have to concur with the Werner Heisenberg people, but not for the same reason. He just looks like he could fight:

I think my guy could take yours.

The other stuff-
There's only one way you can get me to serve potatoes and that is "for cash".
3D entertainment has been around (in some form) since 1915. Even if its support is as frequent as the tide, I don't see it going away.

PS: Welcome to all the new folk.

just in case

Feynman will not Neils to such a Bhoring individ- He did what?

The story goes that while studying in university, Bohr was asked the following question, or a variation thereof during one of his exams, “What’s the easiest way measure the height of a building using only a barometer?”. Bohr, demonstrating his supreme lack of fucks took his pen and wrote down “I’d knock on the door and ask how tall the building was in return for a shiny new barometer”

Huh, TIL something funny. I don't want to spoil it but the outcome was also enjoyable.

1) What is your favourite way to serve potatoes?
It depends on the day. But I'm never not in the mood for vodka

2)3DTV Fad or future?
I'm all about 360 degree VR videos, babyyy

3)Which of the quantum mechanics scientists would win a fist fight and why?
Oppenheimer, because he was caught trying to poison his professor and managed to get away with it
