Thank you very much! I couldn't possibly love it more!
"Launch was a successes, Station Europa, speed is stabilizing as we approach Quadrant Five, over."
"You don't need to keep that death grip on both the armrests, Greenhorn, one is sufficient. The hard part's already over, just relax."
The finest model of interstellar explorer cut through the dark cloth of space with ease. Riding comfortably in the Daedalus III was Captain Spaulding on his tenth trip out of the Solar System, this time with company.
"Any man would be nervous leaving the last bit of civilization behind for four months sir, and it's Greenton." Three chimes rang out overhead, the ships censors picked up several nebula en route.
"Looks like someone isn't in the spirit yet," the captain chuckled. "Maybe these clouds can muster up some cheer. Welcome to the Christmas Quadrant, rookie."
The ship carried them swiftly to the first nebula, not pausing in its decent. Greenton craned his neck to get one last look at the station.
"Pay attention, this one coming up's called the Christmas Tree."

"... It's beautiful." Greenton whispered finally. His brows knit in a struggle to say something more, to properly express the wonder of it. The captain smiled, allowing himself to go back to that first flight. They were both broken out of their revelry by the next cloud.

"Command let me name that one," Spaulding said proudly. "The Three Kings, always traveling to yonder star."
"Captain?"
"Hmm?"
"Merry Christmas."
Captain Spaulding's infectious grin made him resemble the final nebula, an image of the jolly do elf, flying through the cosmos.

"Merry Christmas Greenton, and to all a good night."
