The bizarre and the inexplicable

Postby Tesseracts » Mon Sep 21, 2015 3:10 am

We have an idiots on the internet thread, and an SJW absurdity thread. Sometimes, we run across stuff which doesn't really fit into either. I posted an eggkin who was upset about "cannibalism" (scrambled eggs for breakfast) in the SJW thread. But, does that really have anything to do with social justice? Not really.

I thought it would be a good idea to make a more general cringe thread. This is a form of humor in which the point is to look at stuff which makes us cringe and marvel at how normal we delude ourselves into believing we are in comparison.

Obviously we want to avoid bullying. Generally it's a good idea to censor the names of the people involved. Doxxing is not good. I would also avoid posting people who are simply furries or something. Terrible and/or bizarre people can also be furries, but as far as I'm concerned watching MLP or having an unusual physical appearance isn't enough for someone to qualify as weird. Try to be reasonable.

I will start by posting things no human can explain.

Yeah, it should be best to limit the Social Justice Absurdity Thread to full Tumblrs (not just screenshots and short posts) and actual articles.

I assume he took it to be an argument against imprisoning women under any circumstances. The bottom of the image says we must stop "criminalizing women and survivors." I'm not clear on what it's arguing, but it could easily be interpreted to mean women and specifically abuse victims can't go to prison.

This one isn't that weird but it's hilarious.

Stop telling people to speak their mind.

Stop telling kids to get involved.

Stop telling everyone their opinion matters.

Tumblr has proven this is not true.
