I wonder just how much longer it'd take for these Tumblr dwelling hipster parents to just start literally shackling their kids to themselves 24/7.

This echos my complaints about people complaining when I leave my dog in the car for short periods of time with the windows open when it's not warm out. Parents have actually gotten in trouble for leaving children in the car for short periods of time when it's not warm out.

That's because all men are creeps who will rape your child to death if they see it all by itself and defenseless.

It's true. I have to wear blinders like a race horse when I go out to try and prevent it from happening.

They're modesty blinders, Andro. I mean, if you can't make all people dress in sacks to prevent any form of impure fault-what else are you supposed to do?!

Yep, I'm going to jail. My kids have to walk home from school, EVERY DAY! Admittedly, seeing that my youngest is three, they are accompanied by their nanny. And the school is a whole 800m from my house...

I think these rules would have landed my parents a rare sentence of Super-prison. As little children (I can't remember what age exactly. Five and under? Six?) my siblings and I would be allowed to play in the woods with minimal supervision, often naked. At a slightly older age, we could walk down to the sea unaccompanied and play there. We were foul mouthed, too.

When I was young kids were allowed to be criminals! All willy nilly and the like! It was awesome! Not at all like today's overprotective law-abiding children, forced by their parents to be "good".

My parents swore in front of me all the time and fucking turned out goddamn fine.

I can get behind not letting kids outside, though. But that's because the favorite activity of all the kids that live around me is having screaming contests (at least that's what it sounds like).
