Regarding #2 (tooth stem cells), I thought they had figured out a while ago how to reprogram skin cells to behave like stem cells... is this all that much different?

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

My spidey sense. It burns. I would post something to that effect under the article, but I am afraid of being downvoted into a spiral of alcoholism and despair for being a spider-sympathiser. For now I will just grumble.

You make up for it in that other sweetheart of the arachnid class, ticks, I wager. Which are of course spiders, according to Cracked's understanding of taxonomy.

Number five isn't really all that surprising, since Demodex folliculorum (eyelash mites) have been known for a long time.

The disturbing thing is that at least with D. folliculorum their presence on your face was essentially a Schroedinger's cat situation: up until you're around 50, the majority of people don't have them, and even in really old people not everybody has eyelash mites. According to the article; 100% of people have D. brevis, and that is disturbing.

I tried calling the world's greatest exterminator after reading this article, but unfortunately he happens to believe that the presence arthropods on one's face is highly beneficial.

As disturbing as the face spiders are (silently screams) I'm more freaked out by the gut bacteria.

I mean tiny organisms that live in our bodies and control us?

I'm thinking the teeth entry wasn't the one that needed an Animorphs reference.

Also anyone else remember Animorphs? I stumbled onto it's Tropes page yesterday and can't stop thinking about that series.

Animorphs is excellent, and should always be referenced.

But on the subject of the article, they're doing eyelash mites again? They did an article including them a while ago (like back in 2013 when I still read Cracked), so either their editing forgot that, or they're recycling content thinking we won't remember. Not great, though I get reusing them for the shock factor.
