BBC1 is where they have the news at regular interval (as opposed to continuously on BBC News), and most of the most exciting programs.
BBC2 is the other main channel
BBC3 and BBC4 are both only on in the evenings and tend to show repeats or less exciting stuff.
CBBC is for kids, and Cbeebies for really little kids
Then there's the specialist ones like BBC News and BBC Sport and BBC Parliament.

I have no problem with none-list based articles. If you want to write about a single topic in more depth then please do.

As to a collaborations workshop, I think that'd be an excellent idea. Maybe we could start a thread in The Fridge for that?

A fridge thread would work for now, I guess. I was thinking something along these lines: Submit an idea and basic summary and then those interested can PM the person submitting the idea, but with a limit of course.

Sounds like a workable idea to me. One important thing for collabs is who's going to be the nominated poster (and thus get the thumbs). Give me a little time and I'll draw up a thread for that.

We have additional ones too. Obviously there's [YouTube] for youtube embeds, [tablink] for links that open in a new tab, [CAHBlack] and [CAHWhite] for Cards Against Humanity cards, [audio] to embed an audio file (won't work on older browsers), and [soundcloud] for soundcloud specifically. Also, [sp{number}lr=some_text] for titled, nested spoilers. You have to increment the number for each layer.

There's another BBC as well, but it is restricted to "those" corners of the Internet.

Now back to the subject at hand: the hard part (at least for me) is thinking up a subject that gives you good ideas. I'll give it a shot when it happens, because why not.

The path to wisdom does, in fact, begin with a single step.

Where people go wrong is in ignoring all the thousand other steps that come after it. They make the single step of deciding to become one with the universe, and for some reason forget to take the logical next step of living for 70 years on a mountain and a daily bowl of rice and yak-butter tea that'd give it any kind of meaning. While evidence says that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, they’re probably all first steps.

You construct your article yourself here. If you wish to collaborate with someone, go here.

Thank you Eric for those useful links.

I'd rather you didn't. If you have a piece of writing you'd like to exhibit then I'd suggest posting in The Fridge. In general though, people don't publicly draft up their articles. We do have an editing process where we can discuss any material alterations (ie not spelling grammar etc.) before any article is posted, and anything posted would be subject to your clearance as author. If you follow the links Eric provided, you'll find the places you need.

So I currently have an article I've been wanting to write in the works, and have a pretty good idea of the direction I want it to head and how I'm going to set it up, but it might be a bit Roth still from both an aesthetic standpoint and in terms of flow when it comes to reading.

Would it be better for me to submit a draft first and then we'll go over it during the editing process, or for me to hammer out a few of the kinks with one of the editors prior to submitting?

I'd suggest submitting it and let me have a go over it, then we can discuss where to go from there. As a rule I don't make material changes or publish without the author approving any changes made beforehand, so we can totally go over it once it's in the inbox.

Sounds good.

I'm quite open to constructive criticism, so provided there's logic to back it up, feel free to point out any improvements that can be made either from a writing standpoint or in terms of content tackled, as well as the whole copyright end, as I confess I'm a bit clueless where that is concerned.
