I am constantly amazed there seems to be a growing number of people that think Communism is a good idea, and that people such as Che are somehow heroes.

It can't be much worse than capitalism.

Ah, yes, Che Guevara. Terrorist, creator of one of the bloodiest regimens in the planet which slaughtered and starved so many people to death, tried to eradicate Congolese culture and supplant it with Latino's, something that would make the liberals who worship him do backflips in rage if done by literally anyone else... but it is all okay guise, he had good intentions. :^)

I don't really feel like getting into an argument about the relative merits of capitalism and communism, or the ways in which purportedly communist regimes have violently diverged from the Marxist doctrine they purport to follow. But leaving that aside, Che Guevera was, from everything I have read, kind of a self-aggrandising arsehole who caused suffering out of all proportion to any positive social change he might have brought about.

Worshipping Guevera is hardly a new thing though. People have been doing that since at least the '80s.* Often without knowing much about him other than that he was some sort of rebel.

*Judging by Sartre's droolingly sycophantic quote, probably considerably longer.

You say "New World Order" "communist echo chamber" like it's a bad thing.

There is quite the track record of complete psychos who are worshiped by socialists, anarchists, and people generally against "the system" for no other reason than the fact they were rebels. Putting a lot of dedication on breaking the law -- even if doing so you are actively endangering other lives -- is enough to make you a hero to them.

Che is probably not the first, and most likely will not be the last.

What, Castro's Cuba? According to the highest estimates, that regime killed tens of thousands; which is awful, but it's not even remotely one of the bloodiest in the world. There's just so much competition for that.

Source for that? I mean, didn't he go there with about 100 people? It'd hardly be feasible.

Make no mistake, I'm not supporting Che Guevara, I just think you went a bit too far.

Some years ago, Cracked published an article suggesting that Vladimir Putin was Russia's version of Teddy Roosevelt. That was when I lost all faith in Cracked's ability to identify badasses.

The rest of the internet was under the same impression, though. This doesnt go against what you said however, it just further shows that cracked wasn't more insightful or knowledgeable than the rest.

The real problem with capitalism is that none of its leaders look really badass on a T-shirt. Clearly that was its failing.

Look at that fucker. That fucker will not make a single good T-shirt.
