As she sees the seriously injured knight being carried away to the chirurgeon, Terrwyn starts feeling pretty bad. She didn't have to "help" Persidius at all, of course. He is great at swordplay, and she forgot all about his family shield. Sending a quick prayer up for Bregen, Terrwyn kneels down and hugs his little boy. Perhaps she will make him her squire when he is older.
As Terrwyn heads into the castle with the rest, she feels the familiar guilt and worries start up again. She needs to get a spouse soon. Sure, she technically has all the time in the world, and it is not uncommon for knights to marry late, but she doesn't have much of a family to fall back upon for support in dire times, and she would like one ^^
Half of Terrwyn's peers already seem likely to marry soon anyhow. Bleddyn seems to have a special attachment to that Llewella woman, and Persidius certainly isn't going to face too much difficulties with finding a suitable wife now, after his heroics. Eliver might be shy as always, but surely he will manage, with that talkative nature, and having slain some stupid bear <.< Arcadia will hopefully be alright, she has achieved the most glory out of them all, and Terrwyn has a slight feeling Sir Amig seems to favour her, which would be wonderful if it were true, a great match in all honesty =)
If she was being real, Terrwyn did not have much experience with this courting business, especially not with men. And they are supposed to take the lead? Aaagh. That little thing last night was a fluke, Terrwyn only did it out of a combination of boredom, friendship and the need to meddle :P She doesn't actually want to have to go after guys. She would commit some social blunder and then what would happen? Exactly!
Terrwyn feels super annoyed now. She is not going to take any more of this, YA HEAR THAT BRAIN? She is gonna put an end to this uncertainty right now! Persidius duelled for that Lady Elaine. Or his ideals. Or something. Well, she is going to do the same! But maybe possibly, the court would frown on her fist-fighting some twit in a gown, Terrwyn thinks. No matter! She will ask the men themselves! Nothing is better than the direct approach, she feels :D
To that end, Terrwyn stands up and looks around the hall. Her gaze falls on Sir Jaradan, surrounded by giggling ladies. He is supposed to be some master swordsman or something, no? >.> Let's test that, mister! Terrwyn starts walking before she can think on it and and not go through it. This mood is really ruining her winter fun dammit. And even if she loses (most probably) Terrwyn would at least gain some confidence, and not sit around anymore like the aforementioned twits in gowns.
"Er, excuse me Sir! (Fuck, what am I doing? No no be brave) Er that is to say, I will see you on the duelling field, yes?!" Terrwyn realises that some people are possibly staring at her now, not to mention the man in question himself. She tries to elaborate. "For your hand. In m-marriage, that is. (what?! nooo) I hear you are an excellent swordsman, so that is why... (shut up!) *clears throat* Just for the love of fighting, really. Practice swords, yes? Neither of us wants to go the way of poor Sir Bregen, surely. ^^ That is of course, if you accept. Actually I do not blame you in the slightest if you don't, you will just be a giant chicken! Also, my name is Terrwyn." :)
