I love his little boiled down kooky synopsii. Every time I have an article come out I always scroll down to see what he'll make of it.

I think it's synopses.

You can think what you like mate, but I said synopsii, so that means IT'S SYNOPSII.

Now if you have a problem with that, by all means we can sort that out. We can sort it out like there's no tomorrow. Not a bother. But you make sure that's what you want, what you really, really want. Zigga zig ah.

I wouldn't know an Ericho from a shit sundae, but given everyone's abject dismay, I take it the distinction is subtle?

So I was just reading a Cracked article about movies, and there were a lot of linked references. Come to find out, every single one of those links was just to the Amazon site where you can buy the movie and give Cracked a kick-back.

That's a really annoying form of stealth-advertising.

Are they noting the article as sponsored content? Because if they're not, they're basically hiding adverts in their content and pretending they're articles. Subscribers are paying to read adverts, and non-subscribers got adverts in their adverts like it's Xibit up in here.

Nope. It's listed as a blog post.

Nothing more than I've come to expect really. But still it's another symptom of decay. Shame for the authors writing that stuff, I wonder if they even asked if they could put links like that in?

If that was a sponsored article and Cracked didn’t disclose that, they could potentially be breaking the law.

You are probably right there Face.

Also, gonna point out, that article is now 3 days old, and top comment is +4 on 93 comments. That seems like it's not going so well on the subs front, which with this kind of behaviour, I'm not surprised.

I had a look through the article Creepy linked, and there's absolutely no mention of there being any sort of sponsorship on the article. There also doesn't seem to be any comments about the frequent amazon links in the text of the article, are they being removed or are people who comment just that blind now?

Checking the amazon page the first link sends me to, there's nothing on there to say Cracked is getting a kickback, but then I don't know why else Cracked would be linking to many Amazon pages on one of their articles unless they were getting paid for it?
