Firefly was canceled and there will never be anything with the exact same amazing feel to it.
Jason Statham will probably never be in the MCU.
The FFVII remake has a high probability of sucking.
I'll address the last part.
The game won't be the same, obviously, and even if it were, the greatest thing about ff7 was that it was totally new stuff, and very original at the time. I can't think of any other game at the time that made you be a cross-dresser as a major plot point, or made you work for hours just to get out and into the world, or had a kind of political/environmentalist message, or even played out like an unfolding mystery.
Major characters betrayed you. You had to do some serious James Bond shit now and then. The plot just felt balls out wild 90's "extreme!" the whole time.
With the remake, they're just retreading old ground with new graphics, maybe shuffling a few events around, and probably popping in a few odd cameo characters from the retcon games, but the game won't have anything like the sense of awe and wonder that the original had, no matter how shiny they make it look.
What would make it great, in my opinion:
- some new minigames
- bigger Gold Saucer and more stuff to do there
- new sidequests
- a New Game + option
- an online multiplayer arena type deal
- better Chocobo racing, more kinds of chocobos to breed
- airship customization options
- more Weapons, new ways to fight them
- a couple new secret characters, just because it's a remake
- a way to bring back whatsherface
What we'll probably get:
- Gambit system
- materia system overhaul
