Postby Typical Michael » Thu May 16, 2013 1:28 am

Guys!

We did an interview with Jacopo Della Quercia! Check it out!

This was awesome, thanks to noitev for setting it up, and Jacopo for rambling with us for an hour.

This is so brilliant, great job! I hope you guys get to do more of these!
I love how philosophical it got when ye were talking about TMNT.

"The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the Cosmos stir us -- there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation, as if a distant memory, of falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries."

I like how it sounded like he was going to smack me when I accused him of liking Teddy Roosevelt more than Batman, and how it sounded like I was going to smack him when he came out as a Marvel man.

When I sent you the boxers or briefs question I didn't think you'd actually ask it! I don't want to know what Jacopo thinks of me now...

I love how the sandwich conversation went on for a good five minutes (probably more) and that he went through the trash to see what kind of cheese it was.
I'm really interesting in getting his book to find out whats on Taft's Sandwich of Death.

Memories are what reason is based upon. If we can't face them we deny reason itself! Although why Not? We aren't contractually tied down to rationality! There Is no Sanity Clause! So when you find yourself locked onto an unpleasant train of thought, heading for the places in your past where the Screaming is Unbearable, Remember, There is always Madness. You can just step Outside and close the door on all those Dreadful things that happened. You can lock them Away. Madness is the Emergency Exit.

I really liked the parts with Jacopo in them...Seriously, though, the props for Purgatorio actually had me clapping and hooting, at night, in my apartment, alone, like a dumbass. Yeah, Purgatorio!

It's always in the last place you look for it, unless you're the kind of person who keeps looking for it after you've found it.

Is it selfish that for the first ten minutes I was gloating to myself that I've been pronouncing his name right in my head? Eh, it's the little victories. If only all philosophical conversations could be this surreal.

Nope, I actually punched the air and went "Ha! Suck it English" and then I remembered I was on a plane and should probably shut up before the air marshal remembered where he put that telescoping baton.
