Thermostat question~

Postby octoberpumpkin » Sat Apr 22, 2017 2:48 am

I dunno if anyone can help em with this but my thermostat control (Hunter Indiglo 44250a) doesn't work anymore and needs to be replaced. I don't have any idea about these things. Do I need to buy the same type of thermostat again or can I buy a different one? How do I replace it? Like, how will I get it to properly hook up to the central air and heating? I'm hoping this isn't super complicated :(

Thanks for the help if anyone knows!

You could get a Nest thermostat. It will learn your behaviors and potentially save you money. Apparently they also have good support for getting it installed.

Not to mention it comes with a guarantee that it won't gain self-awareness and decide to eliminate all humans! Mostly. Probably.

...so, uh, yeah, I have no helpful advice on this whatsoever.
