I've just coined a new term which collectively refers to priests, ministers, and BDSM enthusiasts.

People of collar.

This also includes the cast of Survivor: Worlds Apart (Season 30) where the tribes were split up into White Collar, Blue Collar, and No Collar.

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

I'd be no collar because I don't know any useless trivia, white collar stuff, or how to fix a car.

Argh! That's my birthday! Wrong year, luckily, but it's still pretty creepy. It's like people who remember my ninth birthday on, like... October the 13th, 1996. Or whenever being a spooky-ass motherfucker happens.

If I had fraternal twins I named Karen and Kevin, would that constitute child abuse?

I dunno about child abuse, but I expect we're going to see a significant drop in the popularity of those names over the next few years.

We should call people from Iran "Aryans" again.
"Iran" is a call back to the name for the people, Aryans, anyways.

Also, it sounds cool.

"Iranian" and "Aryan" are cognates, not synonyms. They come from the same root, but Iranians are not Aryans, except in the early 20th-century sense of the word in which all Indo-European speaking peoples are "Aryans." (That use fell out of fashion when the Nazis coopted the word as a synonym for "white gentiles.") The Indo-Iranian languages have two major branches: Iranian and Indo-Aryan with the Aryans being the people of northern South Asia.

I thought Aryans were all the people who Arya Stark wears the face of.

The main bad guy in Bioshock is Andrew Ryan, and his whole deal is his belief that some people are just better than everyone else. Some people point to the fact that his name is an anagram of "We R Ayn Rand", but that's the worst anagram I have ever seen. Surely, surely, it's more relevant that his name is A. Ryan. A-Ryan. Aryan. Like the people the Nazis thought were just better than everyone else. That's the thing that always jumped out to me about this videogame baddie's name.

Yes but the Nazi's thought Aryans were scandanavian so there's a low bar in there somewhere.

Like I said, by the early twentieth century, "Aryan" had come have encompass a seconding use, meaning anyone who spoke an Indo-European language. The Nazis then redefined it, a third use, as any non-Semitic white person, which led to the second use falling out of fashion.

I hate it when I have thoughts that I think are brilliant in dreams, enough to wake up briefly and write them down, and then wake up the next day and read them and have no clue what they mean.

Someone should make a new genre of video documentaries about people who pursue short-term gain with policies which are ruinous in the long term, featuring the likes of Neville Chamberlain, Mitch McConnell, and Angela Merkel. We can call them "myopics."
