I was a crisis actor once.
Nowadays, when you meet this term, it usually used by conspiracy theorists after a mass shooting. But I looked it up on Wikipedia, and it says that a crisis actor is "a trained actor, role player, volunteer, or other person engaged to portray a disaster victim during emergency drills to train first responders such as police, firefighters or EMT personnel." Well, I did that once; my high school class was used for a plane crash drill. We were taken to an airfield, they put fake wounds on some of us, we went into an airplane, and then EMT guys carried us out. They put me in ambulance car, because I had a fake wound on me. It was kind of fun. Better than a day in school for sure.
As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.
