Writing Contest - December 2017 - Choose a Topic!

Postby Marcuse » Fri Nov 24, 2017 9:19 pm

Welcome to the obligatory topic poll for the December writing competition! I have, in the interest of simplicity, plagiarised adopted the list Kate used for the last poll and removed the option we just did. However, if people would like to suggest something that's not on this list, then drop it into a reply to this post with the following format:

Write-in vote - [topic]

Get it? Write in vote? Yeah. I know. It's all I can come up with around all this childcare.

Just so the write ins don't skew the options, I'm allowing any number of poll choices. Let's not go mad, but I don't want to force people into choosing a topic they don't want because it's not on the list. After seven days, I'll check back and we can get the contest started!

How about a shared universe/timeline sort of deal where there's a central timeline and setting with established events and a story can be set anytime before, during, or after those events, so we end up collectively establishing a lore?

Science Fiction would be good for that.

This is on the list already, but I would just like to voice further support for a Lovecraftian theme.

'Tis the season for cosmic horror.
