The better question is: does one eighteen-year-old count as three six-year-olds if you chop 'em up?

So, in the official criminal complaint Welch told a friend to watch PizzaGate: The bigger picture. Some are saying this is in reference to an article on Jone's website.

Apparently, all the pizzagate stuff is being deleted from infowars (but I'm not about to pop over and look)

Boy, that conspiracy runs real deep!

And of course conspiracists won't change their minds because of that. If something is so outlandish that even Alex Jones doesn't want to be associated with it, that still doesn't mean that just maybe it's bullshit. It means that Alex Jones is a NWO shill.

From the conspiracy subreddit:

It should be common knowledge to anyone that has seriously researched into conspiracies that Alex Jones is controlled opposition and always has been. Bill Cooper exposed Alex as a shill over 15 years ago and was killed shortly after. Alex gives truths but mixes them with dis info and controls the narrative once he has the audiences attention. Once you understand this it's easy to see that he just an over the top agent/actor.

They're even dismissing Alex Jones. Man, they are really determined and eager to find child porn, aren't they?

I bet you a lot of them already have, repeatedly.

So is the government still involved with allowing children to be exploited or what?

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/1475-immigrant-children-missing/

Oh wait, that's a real thing not a stupid conspiracy. Trump is separating children from their parents at the border and the government is not keeping track of where they go. How to grow terrorists indoors: separate children from parents and plants seeds of hate and distrust, water occasionally, spread hateful rhetoric, "bad hombres" seems to work just fine.

Wow way to turn a tragedy into another political shitflinging session so you can insult people with different opinions and feel morally superior about yourself. This shit's been going on for years, the percentage is roughly the same as during the previous administration. Funny how you only started giving a shit when you could find a way to blame it on Trump.

Previous administrations did indeed lose some unaccompanied children who showed up in the US and were "sponsored" by folks who later disappeared. They did not, however, intentionally separate families as a punitive or deterrent measure.

That being said, it's not clear the Trump administration has actually done so either. Trump himself and some of his advisors evidently pushed for such a policy, but it sounds like there was resistance from DHS.

Michael Gerson has written a rip-roaring denunciation of the Trump administration’s apparent policy of splitting illegal-immigrant children from their parents as a way of deterring illegal immigration. I think Gerson is right to argue that deterrence can’t justify this inhumane practice. There have to be limits to the deterrents we can use even when deterrence is needed and the action we seek to deter is wrongful. But is Gerson right in describing the administration’s policy? That’s less clear, because the administration isn’t speaking with one voice on this question.

Kirstjen Nielsen, the Secretary of Homeland Security, presents family separation as a regrettable side-effect of enforcing the immigration laws in this interview with NPR’s John Burnett.

Our policy has not changed in that if you break the law, we will refer you for prosecution. What that means, however, is if you are single adult, if you are part of a family, if you are pregnant, if you have any other condition, you’re an adult and you break the law, we will refer you. Operationally what that means is we will have to separate your family. That’s no different than what we do every day in every part of the United States when an adult of a family commits a crime. If you as a parent break into a house, you will be incarcerated by police and thereby separated from your family. We’re doing the same thing at the border. . . .

By contrast, John Kelly, Nielsen’s predecessor in that job and the White House chief of staff, has defended family separation as first and foremost a means of deterring illegal border crossing. Michael Shear and Nicole Perlroth reported in the New York Times a few days ago that President Trump believes that DHS is “resisting his direction that parents be separated from their children when families cross illegally into the United States, several officials said. The president and his aides in the White House had been pushing a family separation policy for weeks as a way of deterring families from trying to cross the border illegally.”

That all being said, what does any of this have to do with Pizzagate? The "they're both about potentially endangered children" angle seems...tenuous. By that logic, we might as well put stories about colon cancer in the Trump thread because they both concern diseased assholes.

"If it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them; but the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"

Those links don't tell me that previous administrations were purposely separating children from their parents. The inflammatory rhetoric was never present in any administration during my lifetime. Also update your data plz. 21,000 in half of 2016 and 21,000 through March of 2018. Also, also if Hillary was doing it I'd have just as much of a problem so idk you mean about finding a way to blame it on Trump.

He is having children separated from their parents, reasons for that exist and are up for debate like many things, but that they're being separated for long periods of time is a fact. That was not being done by previous administrations. At least not being separated for more than a couple days iirc, don't feel like looking that up right now fucking yardwork to do. More immigrants are attempting to cross the border than a year ago. He's trying something, but I don't agree with the lack of follow up. It leaves cracks for people to slip through.

The government is taking phone call answers for where these children are. How much faith are we to have in phone based polling especially regarding the honor system? This is work ICE will have to do after kids fall through the cracks. And it seems they're understaffed for projects being given to them at the moment or else the National Guard wouldn't have to be on the Southern border.

If you feel insulted by me attaching some opinions to a current event and also think I'm attempting to be morally superior, which you'll never do right?, maybe you need to check the name of the site I'm posting this on.
