Michael Avenatti, lawyer who became famous for representing Stormy Daniels in her attempt to get out of a NDA with the President, has been charged with wire fraud in New York because he tried to extort Nike for "between $15 and $25 million" AND THEY HAVE HIM ON TAPE WITH NIKE IN MULTIPLE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT IT.
At the same time, a second federal case against him came today in LA, accusing him of bank fraud. He is being accused of fraud related to loans made to his law firm and coffee company he owns (which I didn't know about), and is being accused of keeping a $1.6 million settlement he won all to himself.
So, uh...he's in a bit of trouble, it seems. The dunking on Twitter has been pretty entertaining, although a lot of it is Trump supporters seeing it as another win.
