There might not have even been a Charlotteville antifa group. Apparently the right have been creating antifa groups to misrepresent the left.

“as far as we know, there are zero legitimate organized Antifa groups in Boston,”

Reminds me of some joke about organized anarchists.

“fake accounts aren’t ever really ‘effective’ to anyone with a modicum of awareness,

? They seem to...

but they’ve mostly been effective at stirring up shit with people who already hate antifa.”

Oh.

it made reference to a (fake) rally planned for Gettysburg. Right-wing counter protestors showed up and found no one to protest. Somehow, one of those fooled into traveling to Gettysburg managed to literally shoot himself in the foot.

Ah life, sometimes you make me smile.

I read the article. It was surprisingly accurate for a Gizmodo article. However, it doesn't mention Charlottesville.

If there are no antifa groups in the Boston area, then what the fuck is this?

Clearly Tess they're anarchists unaffiliated with antifa.

That article Nathan found is really interesting. It seems then that the odds are good that at least some of those pictures of antifa violence NoodleFox has been sharing are the result of one of facists' favorite tactics: false flag operations.

It's been said so many times now I have to do it once myself.

They're clearly protecting their gold & diamond shop from the unruly, from a couch.

Also, *triggered*, charge that damn phone!

The guy that posted the video of the car attack is now getting death threats from neo-nazi groups. They're also claiming he arranged the attack for some reason and has a connection with George Soros. What I learned from reading the article is that both sides are equally bad.

Shortly after the Alabama governor removed four Confederate flags from the Capitol grounds in response to the Roof shooting in 2015, state Senator Gerald Allen introduced a bill prohibiting the removal of historic monuments or changing the names of schools (he said the Roof fallout and his bill were unrelated). After repeated efforts, the bill finally became law this May, and it now bars local governments from moving or altering monuments, school names, or street signs more than 40 years old.

Alabama, you continue to amaze me.

Turns out it's not just Alabama. Most Southern states have some variation; it's just that they enacted them back when open racism was still acceptable and you didn't need a dogwhistle (or bullhorn), but Alabama, as usual, is about a century behind the times.

Update on Charlottesville:

a man seen on tape shooting at the young man with the flaming can has been identified and arrested.

The actual charge was for "discharging a firearm within 1000 feet of a school"

There's also been one arrest and identification of the men who beat Deandre Harris.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/08/27/ma ... e-say.html

Daniel Patrick Borden, 18, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding in the Aug. 12 assault that took place in a parking garage. Police also charged Alex Michael Ramos, 33, with malicious wounding—but he has not yet been arrested.

Prosecutors have upgraded the charges against Fields to include first-degree murder. Police helicopter video shows Fields stopping at the end of the street before accelerating into the crowd, which could be a strong basis to suggest he was acting in cold blood.
