Can we have more than 6kb for an avatar?

Seriously, most of us have word files bigger than that!

I'm not sure of the mechanics...but I had to change my avatar, as well (To the alt cover of Superman #75.) It doesn't upset me much because I used this avatar on Cracked before I found the other one. But I can understand the personal attachment people have to their pics.

I would second the notion, if it's technically feasible, to increase it to like 20kb. Let's not go crazy and have 3meg avatars. But let's give people some room.

I gif'd this one to make it fit. It doesn't look terrible on the boards, but not one of my usual.

I can't figure out what you mean by "word files" - surely not Microsoft Word? That would take more than 6kB for a document simply saying, "Hi."

Word files = sig blocks? I'm at a loss.

Done - 20kB it is. Still at default of 90x90 px max and about 20x20 px min.

Sorry Harp!

I'd actually raised the limit earlier but only saw this post and responded recently.
