That depends on what you did in there. Also, like it or not, people consider the shenanigans of celebrities to be news. So, how about that recommendation that you take a nap?

That's not actually an answer, and you know it.

The moderators themselves don't know what the current policy is and they recommended I make a thread, so we can take it as a given that we need this thread to clarify policy. The question at hand is what that policy should be. So, does anybody have something other than or in addition to what I recommended?

It was recommended that you make a thread because main chat in IRC was determined to not be the best place to have a discussion which affects the entire site. The necessity of this thread is still in question, and users of this site are free to question that.

Speaking strictly for myself as a user I don't see issues with our current policy nor a problem that needs addressing. I think any "solution" would create more problems than it would solve.

In fact it is, the answer to your question is contained within that post.

Bert wrote:The necessity of this thread is still in question

It's not, due to the "void for vagueness" principle. Clarification of the rule is necessary to justify enforcement. Until somebody can present a compelling counterargument, the necessity of the thread is beyond question.

Bert wrote:Speaking strictly for myself as a user I don't see issues with our current policy

We don't have a current policy.

No, actually, it isn't. You have not, at any point, articulated why there must be a "standard of notability".

And you're the only one bitching about that. We don't have a policy because we don't fucking NEED one. Pov, draw him a fucking picture or something - this is getting tedious!

Unless a moderator or administrator is going to officially state that there will be no enforcement of threads being on or off-topic in CAaSS, then the "void for vagueness" principle requires that we need a policy.

Again, that doesn't state WHY a standard of notability is required. It simply says we need one because you say so. Try again.

So, what did happen in the bathroom, one or two? It wasn't the dreaded number three, was it?
