What do you collect?

What do you do with your free time?

What do you collect?

I didn't see any thread regarding things that you collect (toys, books, beanie babies, STD's, etc).

I collect Transformers. Mostly G1 (the originals from 1984 on), but some of the newer ones are pretty neat as well. In particular are the Japanese Masterpiece ones that are super detailed:

So, what do you guys and gals collect?

Will you play something for us someday?

As I am finally not a broke college student I am finally paying for all the anime I have watched over the years in the form of BDs and DVDs as well as buying the light novels for shows I have loved.

I collect malformed and useless body parts.

Sadly(?) they're all my own.

I used to collect Pocket Dragons, but they don't make them anymore and I've really stopped collecting anything. Although my mother seems hellbent in collecting things from my childhood for me. She's gotten me a He-Man tin lunchbox, a He-Man T-shirt, a unicorn figurine that I had when I was 5, The Last Unicorn on DVD, etc.

I don't have the heart to tell her that I cannot stand He-Man anymore because I'm not 4 any longer.

A lot of the older He-Man/MOTU stuff does fetch a nifty sum on eBay. You never know, you might have been gifted something valuable.

I also collect band posters/flags and will be starting getting similar stuff for anime. I have 5 flags and 6 posters for various bands I have seen.

I collect thimbles. Terribly old-fashioned and twee, but I like them. I have them from all over the world, from places I've been or my family have been.

Also Warhammer Lizardmen, which I like to paint.

There's many other things that I accumulate, but I wouldn't go so far as to say collect. There's something formal about collections, and an implication that you have them for the sake of having them, not for using them for their intended purpose.

I used to collect keys. I had closed to 200 at one point if my memory serves me right. I got bored with it eventually. Now I just collect ladies' hearts (not the physical ones, because I'm not Nos).

Also my sister used to collect 4 and 5 leaf clovers. She had an uncanny ability to find them, and amassed over 300 over a few years.

He made all the girls blush and sigh.

MOTU means something completely different to audio folk like myself: http://www.motu.com/

Sorry, that's short for Masters of the Universe

Blood samples. I swear to God they deserved it.

On a more serious note, I collect a lot of model trains which I'd like to run on a layout or two I'd like to build in the future.
