When you say you can't cook a good mac and cheese, do you mean a proper, homemade one? Or the stuff in the box. Either way, I can help.

I really like to cook but never tried the mac and cheese, or the meatloaf or any of these meals, what with not being american and all. So I'm interested in your recipe, I can give some kickass french or korean ones in exchange!

I rarely cook and it is mostly something simple like pasta. But I really like to bake me some cakes, my favourites are gateu au chocolat mi-cuit and Sachertorte.

I'm trying to learn how to. I can make a few breakfast dishes, but that's about as far as I can go so far.

I can make some damn fine grilled-cheese.

As well as fried rice.

But never at the same time. I can't take that sort of pressure.

I have spent most of my life cooking and baking. Thankfully my skills have improved with age. Here's just a few of my oft cooked meals: meatloaf, roasted chicken, roasted veggies (varies, often a potato with butternut squash), twice baked potatoes with parsnips, col cannon, chili, chicken and corn soup, swiss steak, eggplant and summer squash bake (it's kinda like lasagna), falafel, Yankee style pot roast, mac and cheese with tuna and peas, tuna casserole, chicken pot pie (baked, not slippery), quinoa cereal, polenta, omelets, french toast, and grilled cheese to name a few.

My new place doesn't allow kitchen access, so my cooking will consist of putting something in the microwave for the next year or so.

Well then!

This is how I make enchiladas in the office, with only a microwave: Take any number of corn tortillas you like (I usually have three), lay them flat on a paper plate with as much of their area uncovered as you can, and nuke them alone for about forty seconds. If you have meat already, great, if not cheese is just as delicious. Get a different paper plate and, one by one, lay the tortillas down and fill them with cheese, rolling them and making room for the next tortilla as you go. I find it easiest to drape the tortilla over one that's already rolled, so you have a little pocket ready to go. Grab a jar of your favorite salsa and spoon it over the enchiladas. I reheheheaally like Original Juan's Habanero-Garlic salsa, and you can buy it at Wal-Mart on the cheap. Now cover that with more cheese, then take your original plate and set it, upside down, on top of the other plate, so that you've formed a little tray of sorts. This will help the insides cook and get the tortillas nice and soft without scorching the frick out of anything or making your ingredients too tough. It only takes about a minute in the tray and then a minute uncovered, and you get some pretty awesome enchiladas that even apartment dwellers can enjoy.

I'm pretty good with pasta. I can make some killer meat sauce or, if I feel like gaining 20 pounds, Alfredo.
Can't quite get the hang of grilling though.

As for Eterna's post, any 'ol blade will do for me. Bowie knives are actually pretty good at carving ham.

For the bachelors - I figured out that if you take a single pack of Ramen and place it into a small bowl with enough water to cover it all it takes is 3-4 minutes in the microwave (High) and it'll be good to go.

A basic shared kitchen with an electric stove and a microwave oven.
