Cosplay

Postby Sybyll Adastra » Wed Apr 30, 2014 9:41 pm

Anyone into cosplay at all? I love cosplay and have been making stuff for the last 10 years. It's so much fun. These days it can be pretty easy for anyone to put together an awesome costume with how much more common the materials are now and how plentiful tutorials are. Truly, this is the golden age of cosplay.
Just 10 years ago it was all cheap costume silk and cardboard. Now it's pvc polymer fabrics and Wobla/Wonderflex.

Here's most of my stuff.

I guess just post any costume things you've done or found online and like or ask questions about how to make stuff. I'll do my best to answer!

My current projects are Phantom Assassin (DOTA), Cherno Alpha gijinka (PacRim), Phyla Vell (Marvel), and Jolyne Kujo (JoJos Bizarre Adventure)

I know there's a group of people who want to get into it.

Sparrow and I also joked that I would dress up as Cait Sith from FFVII yesterday in IRC.

Of course, I meant that I'd be the big white puppet thing with the cat on my shoulders.

Heads up, we already have a thread for this. (Plus the one of some people getting into it that sunny already linked).

Anyway, I myself don't cosplay. You're pretty good at it though.

All I got from this is that Sybyll is extremely good looking...

Yep.

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

I wouldn't worry about it, I don't think it's a big deal.

Well that's where you're wrong Doc! Second chances are for Kamikaze pilots and railway enthusiasts, they don't cut the mustard here. 100% success rate or nothin' at all. Take a hike lady, you too Ambiguous. Can't be havin' no enablers gumming up the works!

Of course. Life, is one of the easiest (and most prevalent) ailments to cure. But there's so much work left to be done......

The latest data does suggest that Doc has a 100% success rate at alleviating his patients of life.

He also has a 100% infection rate and a 100% rate of showing up drunk for surgery.

You can't argue with results like that, it's an unambiguously good success rate.

Awesome cosplay here!

Especially Aela, Tsubaki and Yuri Zahard. I mean, damn, you don't see ToG cosplay everyday.
I should get into cosplay one day. My girlfriend's trying really hard to make me, but... I'm lazy.

It's really fun and ToG is something my friend (Androssi) and I love so we decided to do it even though almost no one knew what it was from (the people who did were awesome though and we ended up hanging out). It's not like having a Baam or Viole would have helped either since it's still pretty obscure.
