I have a bunch of ideas, but I was feeling a bit stretched for time, so...

Oh, look. Castle Crashers.

Guess which knight this one is. You don't have any fancy colours to help you now!

I like dark backgrounds.

My, how time flies. I've been busy catching up with IRL stuff, so I won't be doing daily Inktober drawings anymore. I still sketch everyday, though, and in case anyone's interested you can see some of my sketches and WIPs on my Instagram @tumthe3, along with my finished pieces.

With that out of the way, here's some barely XCOM fanart of some Exalt dude.

Another one for Castle Crashers, this time with the Green Knight! Was originally just going to be a vanilla action pose and some magicky stuff, but since the Orange Knight had a phoenix, I thought I might as well give the other knights companions of their own, too. This was supposed to be finished the day right after the phoenix piece, but that didn't work out. So I worked on less ambitious things in the meantime while slowly adding more to it until this thing magically showed up.

This is awesome. I've never been good at doing heavy shadows with ink, your technique is excellent.

Re: MeatPuppet's Art

Hi guys. So after a long hiatus I've decided to practice regularly again. And one thing I've always wanted to get better at was painting. Up to this point I've been doing most of my stuff from imagination with loose inspiration from life, but I've hit a plateau and I realize that I need to switch things up for a bit to progress further.

So I will be doing daily paintings from reference and posting them, however horrible they might be. Limiting myself to just a couple hours a day so I don't get bogged down by details and endless polishing as I tend to do with paintings. I started about a week ago so I'll post what I have so far here:

Day 1 - Sunset
I really like sunsets/sunrises because I really like colours.

Day 2 - Conceal
Had a rough few weeks building up, didn't feel like painting anything sunny. So I reverted to my favourite subject.

Day 3 - Another Sunset
Reference photo by Alvesgaspar. I usually do sunset scenes with a lot of cool colours, so I thought I'd try something predominantly warm.

Day 4 - Taylor
Went to Taylor Swift's Reputation concert recently. But I love her 1989 style. I surprised myself with this one because I've always had trouble painting faces. Okay, there was a point where her face reminded my sister of an old swimming mask but hopefully not anymore. This one gave me a bit of a confidence boost.

Day 5 - Sleepy
Thanks to the previous day's painting, I was confident enough to do this night scene. My god. I hated it. I spent 80% of my time trying to figure out how to do the face. I scrapped like an hour's work entirely because it just looked so wrong. Confidence shot down.

Day 6 - Grace Helbig Being Cute
I realized I seriously need to practice painting faces because I suck at it. I had a lot of fun with this one. Really took my time to get the proportions right early on before adding more features. I actually took off my glasses to force myself to focus on the big shapes, only putting them back on later to pick out some details to highlight. I think it paid off. Was tempted to work on the hair more, but time constraints and they're not my focus right now.

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

I have been pestering my sis for reference photos. She has a lot of pictures saved of her role models. They're all pretty much female, which is perfect because I really need to practice making females look female. This was nice to work on. My sis says something's off but we're not sure why.

Oh shucks, that's right. I accidentally painted an infant. It's that darn Disney influence I can't seem to shake off.

Day 7 - This is what I want out of my taxes

"BOW TO ME," said the duck to the sun. And as the sun faded into the horizon, the duck smiled. Another city has been conquered.

I painted something from imagination for Sunset Sunday. Someone contacted me on Instagram regarding it, but I found out they're a scam so boo.

Also I changed my Instagram username to @leicasimile

Experimenting with texture. Was always something I've wanted more of in my paintings. I may have overdone it a bit here, but it was fun. No hairpulling over anatomy here.

Day 9 - My Last Brain Cell Died Painting This

Today I was thinking about what I would do if I had art block. I think it was contagious because when I got home, I sat at my desk for 2 hours not knowing what to paint. But then legendary songwriter-singer Taylor Swift whispered in my ear and out came this masterpiece. Thank you Taylor.

I was hoping you'd post a Taylor GIF. Those always make me happy. She's too cute.

Well art block is still hanging around and I did not have anyone whisper in my ear this time. I spent a few hours doing basically nothing again. So I did what I usually do when I have very little time to make art. I tried making something in as few strokes possible in an attempt to pass it off as minimalism rather than laziness.
Day 11 - I keep getting the days mixed up, sorry for the confusion but that is how I roll
