Little feller's doing great. Nearly ready to be moved to a bigger pot and get this - it's got branches on its branches!

Well I wasn't going to because it's such a pain to try and take a decent photo, upload it to the computer, and again to post it, but I can't refuse those eyes.

Damn, it's such a cute little tiny thing. Hard to imagine what a massive fucker it'll grow into.

Then the LORD said to me, "Go again, love a woman who is loved by her husband, yet an adulteress, even as the LORD loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes."

I think, strictly speaking, it's a not-yet-Giant Sequoia

"Tusser, they tell me, when thou wert alive,
Thou, teaching thrift, thyselfe couldst never thrive.
So, like the whetstone, many men are wont
To sharpen others, when themselves are blunt."

Anyone who has any kind of opinion fucking disgusts me.

Unless she decides to bonsai it. Then it will be the Li'l Sebastian of Sequoias. Though hopefully a bit longer-lived.

No I'm not going to bonsai the biggest tree in the world. That would just be wrong.

But think of the power over nature you'll feel when you do that!

Seriously though: giant sequoias, coast redwoods, and dawn redwoods are all popular bonsai trees.

That's just wrong. Sacrilegious somehow. Taking away the thing that makes them what they are.

Their genes?

Hey, that's a good pickup line. "Hey baby, in Soviet Academia I'd try to get your genes out of you."

Dammit JoReL!

I'm in the middle of listening to "Thick as a Brick." I enjoy it too much to stop, but the chorus of "Suddenly Seymour" is going to be running through my head until I get a chance to listen to the whole song.

Oh yeah?! Well now I'm going to be thinking about what the hell this lyric means all day:
Your sperm's in the gutter your love's in the sink.

Exciting news!

Little feller's begun his spring growth spurt, and as he's finally reached the top of the little container that came with the kit, it was time, at last, to move him to a big boy pot:
