As you may know, I moved into my very own house a few weeks ago, and I finally have some outside space to do what I like with, and also I no longer need to keep my possessions down to what I can move in my car.

I would love to plant the little feller in the ground where he can get really big in time, but alas that's not really feasible. But at least he's outside now, and in the biggest tub I could find.

Redwoods grow in the British Isles as far north as Scotland. Is the issue that you're not sure you'll be there long term?

No. There are a few additional complications, mostly related to the main issue, which is space.
