I love the panel that's framed by the zipper.

James, I wish I had your artistic ability.

Then I wouldn't be having a hard time thinking of what to do for my creative media project for Abnormal Psych that's due Thursday.

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

I did this comic with a different style than I've been using. The assignment for this was to use an assigned character from the Garbage Pail Kids card series. I got a hand with a face and a scar that looked like a gangster so I made... this thing. Myah, see? MYAH!

edit: I found the character card:

And here's my Watterson styled comic, The Apprentice! Getting his brush stroke style down was hard, especially with those damn Tombow pens. I think it's high time I invest in some actual brushes for ink work.

Typical_Michael helped me come up with the concept when we were joking around on Skype. I like how it came out enough to only obsess over the hundred mistakes only I can see for a few days at most!

edit: oh god, I forgot to ink the door hinge... I'M A FAILURE. A FAAAAILURRRRE.

RE: The Apprentice

I actually had a vision of this same story many years ago (believe it or not!) , so its good to see someone has finally brought it to fruition!
Well done, James!

Here's my latest assignment, a "How To" comic!

It has a bit of errors because it's stitched together (I don't have a big enough scanner to get it all at once) but nothing too noticeable. I think we can all relate to this one.

Damn it, Jams, I told you that if you keep lurking outside my window so you can draw comics about my life, I'm going to call the cops.

WE ONCE AGAIN RETURN TO THE ADVENTURES OF LIL JT.

This one was a huge headache cause I kept screwing everything up and wasted half a day messing with a coloring technique that I ended up not using except for the last panel. In the end I feel like I captured the feelings I wanted to capture, but it's definitely something I'm gonna redo after the deadline.

Also after deadlines: Getting a website. And showering. And sleeping.

NIGHTLIGHTS. 4 pager. As my sister said, I was a moody kid. This captures a moment where I felt content.

I believe you are trying to capture the same kind of mood as the opening scenes of Taxi Driver?

Check out the lights and neon (go to 0:55 secs) !!

My last comic for the Shannon Wheeler class, based off of things I saw/heard/smelled! Now I have to work on my final comic for the autobio class. 12 pages by Monday. Ouch. Someone read this comic as a "guy thing" but really it's just silly people on the bus. Silliness knows no gender, nationality, or shoe size.

"Manspreading" is now a feminist issue, because bus space = patriarchy. It doesn't make sense to me either. I'm just saying if you called your comic "Man Spread" instead of "Spread" it would probably be a lot more popular. (Partly because of feminists and partly due to it being confused with gay porn).
