JT's Art Thread

Postby JamesT » Tue Dec 16, 2014 11:23 pm

So I don't keep flooding the Art Thread with my stuff, I decided to branch out and perform a hostile takeover of this thread. Originally it was a thread for all things Warhammer by Marcuse but seconds after he created it I deleted the boring 40,000 word essay he made and am instead flooding this place with my doodles. Enjoy!

First up, I'm trying to classy up my sketches so here's a digital drawing I did a couple days ago based on one of those. Since TCS is run by BUNCH OF PRUDES I was told to censor the anatomy. Michael suggested the French Flag:

Although now it looks like an incredibly opaque political cartoon. Is the arm terrorism? Is the man the deficit? Who knows?

Next up, another thing I made based off a sketch doodle, this time, posters extolling the values of paranoia!

I've received multiple comments complaining about the detail and size of the man's penis.

According to an unnamed Michael:
if you are going to sketch a dick, make it a dick

To remedy TCS's apparent need for large throbbing dongs I will now include an optional "extra boner" version of all of my future drawings which contain highly detailed renderings of man junk.

edit:
Here's my first extra boner version. NSFW

Great work JT, I really like its dynamism, especially the facial expression.

Suggestion: why not take the best of both worlds and color future dicks like the French flag?

So, I'm taking commissions now. Jack Road was kind enough to ask for one based off of my paranoia poster series and for the low low price of 39.99 he got a custom poster according to his specifications:

Howdy Folks! This is a reworking of something I posted a bit ago. It’s a poster for one of my favorite spaghetti westerns, The Big Gundown. It’s based off a great shot where Cuchillo (played by Milian) is hiding in a cane field as the camera pans up to show the posse barely missing him. Anyone notice how all the great spaghetti directors are named Sergio?

edit: also, to explain the strange shapes that keep popping up in my designs (I just noticed that the last two have very obvious similarities): I really like spaghetti western intros and like to reference them visually. The intros frequently have faux brushstrokes or irregular shapes in bold colors, frequently with knockout text. Here are some good examples:

Who wants some tramp stamps? As in, stamps made by a tramp.

Image

This is another project I apparently didn't post. I did a lot of transparency here, kinda like wet paper. Each stamp inside the stamps is based off of a famous American stamp that was used back when people still used stamps.

This is some good shit right here, JT (although the lack of penis's is laughable). I'm tempted to get a tramp stamp as a tramp stamp so I can Xzibit tramp-ception.

Side note: Does anybody else think the last stamp poster look kind of like a poster for a horror film about a stamp-themed killer? "Return to Sender" is what I'd call it...not that I've been spending a good 10 minutes thinking about this potential film.

Boy Howdy! How would you folks like some chocolate? Feeling down? Have a friend that's MAD at you? Well, split a big ol' Oppenheimer™ with them and you'll get an explosion of flavor that will leave no taste buds safe!

I made these chocolate bar wrappers for a branding project. The theme, if you can't tell, is the Atomic Age. Read the blurbs on the back! Sorry for the photo quality; I took them at midnight on the day before the project was due and my camera is pretty cheap.
