I was taught to leave a large space (4 car lengths - the number of cars behind you, slowly creeping up as people stop behind you) in front of you at a light to provide a buffer to help reduce the damage that might be caused by a person who can’t stop. This isn’t the most practical in a large city and people will think you’re crazy but if you do it right you never need to stop completely at a light. They many have been someone who learned this as well.
This doesn’t mean you don’t pull up to let someone in the right turn lane though.
Times have definitely changed. I was taught that, at a light, you pull up until you are able to only see the license over the hood (bonnet). This four-car length thing accomplishes one thing: it stretches traffic back to the previous light, and prevents people from entering turning lanes, i.e it creates massive bottlenecks. Tighten it up.

Praise Jesus, especially when it's sunny outside because Jesus would totally be cool with you praising while you get a nice tan.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

I understand the fear of being pushed into another car if rear-ended, but getting rear-ended now pretty much results in a totaled car, and if you're pushed into another car, it's the car behind you's fault-- so if your car's wrecked anyway, fuck 'em all.
