This is Lentil, a dog I follow on Facebook. He was born with a cleft palate (which has since been fixed with surgery) and is the mascot of a charity for kids with craniofacial disorders. He is also a very good boy.

Another dog I follow on Facebook is Loca the Pug. She comes with a hilarious song.

I was on a holiday with my family, and the dog came out of the garden of a forester and came to us. I suppose he (I think it was a male) didn't scare me because he was small and very friendly. I petted him, but I'm used to cats so I kept feeling I'm doing something wrong, because he didn't purr.

Here's a picture of the dog with me in the backround.

Here, I approach with caution.

I'm very happy for you, hopefully if these sort of encounters continue to persist than you could eventually lose that fear for even the larger dogs (due to something called stimulus generalization for you nerds).

I met a beautiful German shepherd today (no, I didn't take a photo). She just wanted to play all the time, and wouldn't leave me alone except when she was running after something I'd thrown for her.

We were at the stream at the dog park a some time ago and she came hobbling up to me. No blood and she didn't make a noise so I had no idea what happened. She would get better but then she'd get worse again, so the ex took her to the vet. Torn ACL.

She has a soft sided cone of shame now, and she gets her staples out in a week, but it will be at least another 8 weeks before she can walk any distance.

The vets gave her drugs and the prescribed dosage was 1/2-1 pill. Being the kind of agitated dog she is, she's on 1 and 1/2 pill. Mainly just to keep her relaxed and keep her from jumping.

She ate some of my Star Wars books. Despite that, I think we understood each other.

I find myself every now and then thinking about her, but it is probably better that I don't know what happened.

Edit - Frig it, I got home from work and River was gone, ex sold her. You don't sell a man's dog, come on!

I was heartbroken when she died a couple years ago. She was a basenji, which are supposedly barkless dogs. She would make a loud yelping sound almost indistinguishable from a bark.

She was very sweet and cuddly, but she near untrainable. She was very strong-willed and basically did whatever she wanted.

I miss her.

To be honest, I wasn't much of a dog person until we got Middie.
But Jesus, if that ever happened, I would be fucking furious.
My sincere condolences.

The heck? What gives her the right to sell your dog? Why did she? How did you respond? Is that why she's an ex? Did you ever try to find out who she sold it to? If you did then what happened next?

Gah... So many questions. So yeah, what happened?

When I came home tonight from buying a mouse for my computer, there was a dog at the door of my neighbor's house. It just stared at me as I pulled into my garage; I don't know if it was the neighbor's dog or a stray he feeds or what.

Y'all know this scene from House of Cards?

That's my hobby. I figure all animals are miserable deep down, dog and human alike.
