So it looks like some good friends of our might be splitting up.

This is pretty distressing to me for a number of reasons. They seem like a rock-solid couple (of course, who knows what goes on behind closed doors) and are pretty similar to us.

I don't know the details of what's going on, but their situation makes me scared for my own marriage. If there was some kind of infidelity involved, it scares me that either I or my wife could do something like that.

It might actually scare me more if it's just that they've drifted apart over the years. That is something that could just sneak up on you without you really "doing" something to break up the marriage.

I really hope they work things out, especially because they have kids.

It is wiser to be divorced and be friends than be married and be enemies.

Said no one who has ever followed that advice.

A prospective terrorist on the news this evening was caught after his wife bought him a striking dummy to practice terrorising with. I recognised it as identical to one owned by my friend, on which I occasionally practice myself. It's pretty weird to see this. Like a tv chef using a knife that I own, but more jarring than that.

So, like a TV chef using a knife that you own to kill someone.

Kailyn from Teen Mom has the same curtains as us. My wife feels reassured in her choice since we got ours months before the recent season started.

Any idea how to clean up a fountain pen again? I found one but someone put ballpoint pen ink inside it, and I'm trying to get it back working because fountain pens are awesome. Should I just drench it in water and hang it upside down and later put the proper ink?

Make sure you use distilled water. If the inside gets scaled up it'll be almost impossible to fix.

Distilled? Crap.

(What do you mean by "scaled up"?)

If you'd stop stuffing hobos in there to purge the forensic evidence from their bodies, it wouldn't break down.

I saw a Twilight book in the library today, in a desk where the books nobody borrows are for sale for 200 forints each (that's about 75 cents). I recalled the time, not so long ago, when I could not borrow them for the library (I tried out of curiosity); they had multiple copies, but all of them were always out. Sic transit gloria mundi.

My newest sis-in-law just posted all 350+ pictures from their wedding, and it was nice to look through them and remember that fun day.

HOWEVER. Either the photographer or the SIL cropped a picture of me and my bro to where you can't see the middle finger I subtly flipped. I guess it's a sensible thing to crop, but that's what made the picture funny gosh darn it!

With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.
