A cousin of mine has appendicitis. Someone (a surgeon, presumably) should be taking her appendix out in about half an hour.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

I hate it when doctors take out appendices. It makes it hard to find things in the body.

I think you're confusing appendices with indexes.

We prefer the term "appendix" over "index". It sounds more british.

There really needs to be a word for when something is the opposite of overrated - in the sense of it being generally considered much worse than it actually is, not in the sense of being underrated (which tends to imply more that it's not well-known enough as opposed to overly disliked).

I suppose, but it does still feel like one of those things it's surprising there isn't a word for.

My neighbor is one of those lawn obsessed types. He was mowing yesterday because it stopped raining after two days of rain and the best time to mow is when the ground is soaking wet so you can put ruts and eventually trenches in your yard right? He's mowing again right now.

Anytime there's wet weather he'll be mowing a few minutes after it clears up. I like to wait at least a day. This year he's been mowing right after I do. Like it's a contest to have the shortest grass. I honestly don't give any portion of a fuck, once the grass is tall I cut it. I don't compare my grass to others because Jesus or Buddha or whomever isn't coming around with the yardstick of penultimate judgment.

So if I mow tomorrow morning this dude will be out there in the afternoon mowing, or the next morning. But I like to wait two days because then the difference is more noticeable because his grass has two days of growth. If I mow Friday he will be out there Friday or Saturday despite mowing Wednesday. I have not mowed since last Thursday. He mowed that Friday and today. So 4 days apart.

Grass does not need to be cut two to three times a week.

Maybe he's trying to get away from his harpy of a wife? Does he do this when it comes to shoveling too?

They don't really have much area to shovel so no. I think it's just a grass obsession that some people have. We used to have a neighbor when we lived in Ohio that would mow at least once a month during the winter.

Does your neighbour seem to have unusually strong feelings about propane and propane accessories?
