Things that are things.

Discussion, in general

I got a coffee maker for Christmas, and my sister and her husband had left a coffee can in their freezer when they moved out of the basement (where I now live). I was going to use it, but when I opened up the can, I found it was full of grease they'd been saving.

Why am I smarter than the people on Coronation Street but yet less successful? It's infuriating.

I bought the wrong kind of cat litter yesterday, and when I went to the store to return it today, I realized I didn’t have the receipt. So instead, I got a few things I needed. When I got home, I found the receipt in my sweatshirt pocket (I only checked my coat). I would be more annoyed, but I have to go back for some other stuff anyway.

IDK where you got it, but if you buy something from Target with a credit/debit card, you don't need a receipt to return items, they can look up your card.

HEB/Central Market does that too.

...Dammit, I should have tried that. Oh well.

When I woke up a little while ago, I saw a text from Google in Spanish with a verification code to get into my e-mail. I logged in and saw that someone in Ecuador tried to access my account, so I had to change the password. That’s the first time two-step authorization has come in handy for me.

Ha my store doesn't need proof or purchase or any fancy technology to take returns. If the UPC scans we'll gladly take on your mistakes, unwanteds, your expireds, and your stolen goods.

4 days without a single post in CASS, we chose a great time to introduce those new rules.

I just misspelled my own name in an application for a volunteer opportunity. I hit a key adjacent to the last letter of my name and then hit "send" without proofreading.

*Facepalms*

The good news is it's only a volunteer opportunity and not a job; the bad news is it's the kind of volunteer opportunity that would have looked really good on a job application.

Don't worry. You can fix it when they accept you for the position.

There is an SNL skit featuring a talk show called The Comments Section. It's not all all that funny, but is weird to see.

That applies to us as well.

Ok, things I wasn't prepared for...

Breaking the cord to the laptop when I tripped over it. The part that goes into the computer is no longer associated with the rest of the cord. I'm just glad it isn't a more expensive fix.

Fighting Dracula in Smash Ultimate as Luigi. It was easy enough because I've got mad Castlevania experience but I didn't see that coming.

Having an mri of my neck done. They asked me to put my head all the way back. I did the best I could. Staying still and board flat (bored too) for 12 minutes is my major accomplishment for the year so far.

It's weird how they know exactly what I look like, but are only about 60% accurate on my actual comments on things. It's like they haven't even been reading them. Damn libcucks.

Argh! The Uploader has made this video not available in my country! When I get my hands on The Uploader I'll kill him. And that dog, Toto too!
