The "milk" that pigeons produce is actually surprisingly similar to mammalian milk, in that it's made from special cells just as mammalian milk is and even controlled by the same hormone.

And here I'd always thought that it was just regurgitated, partially digested food, such as parrots feed to their young.

TIL that this game exists and I am hereby officially requesting that the next Mafia game will be played in this style.

There were some guys who used to play that at the store where I played M:tG. They always seemed to be having a good time.

EDIT: After reading the rules, I think the only obstacle to making this a forum game is the amount of time it would take. There's a lot more decision making than something like Mafia.

That was sappy. I'll have you know you're bark-ing at the wrong tree, because puns have been uprooted from this place.

All this talk of wood and mulch is making me feel much more chipper!

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

TIL that my credit score is no longer 600. ...or less which it was last time I had checked.

It's now in the 740s which explains all the credit card offers I've been getting lately. I only have the care credit...I wonder if I should actually get a credit card. Last time I had one I used it too much (partly because of the exhusband claiming that 100 bucks wasn't enough to live off of for two weeks-never mind I'm quite able to do so now if needed).

Absolutely get another credit card. One of the penalties your credit score can get is if you don't have enough available credit for your income level. Not only that, but using a credit card for daily purchases is the best and easiest way to improve your credit score. Put everything you buy on credit, pay it off at the end of the month, and you're golden. You never pay a cent in interest, you get rewards (depending on your card), and your score goes up. There are literally zero downsides.

Additionally, at the mid 700's, your score is high enough that you're going to be eligible for cards that aren't pre-approved. I'd advise doing some research into the best credit cards for your expected use and what you want for rewards (The Points Guy is a good place to start). There are a lot of really good cards out there that will make your life better.
