they were clean when I left on Friday. I slept on the couch as it was. two days? that's not even close to a record for me.
oh, and Sat, I got the privilege of carrying the daughter upstairs to bed, since Joplin woman was tired.
I did feel honored.

So I'm like 3 weeks late on posting about this due to life being sort of crazy (also laziness), and I think I mentioned it on Discord already.

After 6 hours of filling out scantron sheets and a small mental breakdown when I got home, then over a month of having panic attacks over not knowing the result, I passed my national certification exam. I'm an official medical laboratory technologist! That's Maple, B.Sc, MLT to you. If you're feeling fancy.

next-day edit: I just got the job that I mentioned directly above. It's 6-10 weeks, unless they either hate my work or really like it. *goes outside to jump and scream like a normal, well-adjusted person*

Yeah... apparently it was just a working interview (though I will get paid for today even if I don't get hired). I showed up on time, but the computer they would've had me use was broken, and it took them over an hour to set up what my tasks were to be.

I'm not entirely sure what they think. The guy who might become my boss told me about a new product they had; I had to write a non-technical presentation based on that conversation, and then add dimensions to a drawing of it. I screwed up parts of the presentation (it's an indoor light, and I wrote that it was for outdoors, among other things), but I did format it like some of the other presentations I saw saved on that computer. And he said he'd be able to use my finished drawing file, so that's good.

another next-day edit: I did get hired, and I start (continue?) tomorrow.

I'm being princely af. Eating caviar and smoking some exotic cigars on a lawn chair on my roof. Damn, it's a good day.

It is now 2018, a new year and hopefully a good one. And to make this even more awesome, I made the 2018th reply.

Happy new year!!!!

Happy New Year, everyone from GMT-5 to the International Date Line (and everyone else as their respective time zones approach midnight)!

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

Thanks, but I don't celebrate New Years. People like me are cognizant of the passing of time on a daily, if not a continuous, basis. Hence, I have no need for such a holiday.

People like her are cognizant of low explosive pyrotechnic devices on a daily, if not a continuous, basis. Hence, she would have no need for such trivialities.
