I made bunny shaped pancakes for easter for 4 people.
this was a weekend where we watched 1922 on friday and Deadpool on Sat, while the daughter was distracted by a puppy at her grandma's house.
deadpool was a great movie, btw. first time I saw it.

There's an absolutely awful intersection at 51st and I-35 S Frontage Road, which during the daytime takes at least two and up to four lights to get through going north-south. I went through it E-W today (for the first time ever), and they've replaced the light with a roundabout.

I've said it before and it bears saying again: as bad as Austin's traffic is, the traffic engineers here are truly amazing. If the traffic engineering resembled what I'm used to in Massachusetts, the traffic here would be several times worse.

I made some kick ass fruit rollups out of extra plums I had. It has inspired me to make all sorts of dried fruit. Currently have some sugar coated limes and raspberries drying out. They really are a great snack.

My mother went to Whole Foods yesterday, and I saw some muscat grapes on sale. I've always wanted to try muscat grapes because the Asian market in Hadley sold muscat flavored candies. To my surprise, the muscat grapes taste exactly like the candies, and nothing like regular grapes. They have a very different texture too, with a sour bit in the center surrounding tiny seeds.

I want to eat Muscat grapes more often, if I can find them. They might be the best grapes I ever had, vying with some grapes I got from a street vendor in Turkey.

A song with a timeless message that I think we can all agree on: Robotic unicorns are awesome.

I found out that the local safeway (woolworths?) started selling soil and potting mix again, finally it's returning to a proper one-stop-shop for everything.

I had a phone interview scheduled for today... and the person actually called for a change. She was an outside recruiter, but still.

She seemed to think I did well, and I should know by the end of the week if they want me in for a face to face interview.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

Monday, I start my new job at a medical supply company! It's an actual office job with normal office hours and I get the weekend off! I'm super excited to be someplace that has a strict "no cocaine" policy more professional and not in a casino.

I'm looking at maybe another 6 months at the apartment.
I'll do the math on my 401k and see what I can do before then.
I kinda really want to put my two week's notice in tomorrow.

As some of you know, I'm in the process of reproducing again.

We're a little worried about a tiny hole in his heart and of course I have the diabetes again, but he seems to be doing better and better. We're pretty excited!

Can you name this one Jim? Or James?

Regardless;
Congratulations Kate, I'm happy for you. Your big happy family is going to get even bigger and happier too.

Those holes can close. Dougie had one then it was thankfully gone. Hope all goes well!
