Christmas Avatars!

Discussion, in general

So here's my dilemma. There aren't a whole lot of Christmas-themed Swamp Thing pictures out there. Not even ones of him in the snow or I couldn't find one where he was frozen and being dissected. I managed to find this one

Because of this site's stupid avatar size limit, most cropping options are too small

I like the third one because its the clearest but it doesn't show a whole lot.

For now I'm just going with a basic Santa hat over my regular avatar.

Hmm, have you thought about simply opening it with paint and re-sizing it? (then you wouldn't have to crop)

I don't mean to claim my MS Paint skills are flawless, but they clearly are. Look at that goddamn Christmas tree painting.

Also, I changed my post-count bar in honor of the most exciting day of this holiday season. Jesus really needs to get some lightsabers and a cool mask if he wants to compete next time.

What? I tried resizing the whole thing and it didn't come out like that. Somehow yours came out better than the original one... Thank you though.

No problem.

Even after re-sizing I thought it still didn't seem very "swampy", things nowadays are always so gritty and not colorful enough in my eyes. So I messed around with the editing section for around half an hour with a couple of variations (that one was the third) each making the colors more pronounced in a variety of different ways, until it looked "decent".

I like it, has a cool ring to it.

Anyway, consider it my Christmas present to you.

I was going to do this whole "War on Christmas/Santa's Black Ops Elves" thing, with an elf in tactical gear, aiming an AK-47. However recent events have somewhat sapped my enthusiasm for the idea, so I did this instead:

Weirdly yes, I have always thought he had a strangely Yuletide vibe. Probably the spangly bits.

I had a gif of snow fall. But...I mean....

Since I was making this for something else anyway, I switched to Christmas avatar a little early.

You can trust me with your Christmas tree this year, I'll be an angel.

Original, a photo of a handmade ornament someone was selling on Etsy:

I meant to get a more realistic painting/altered photo of a cat as an angel, but I wanted a Russian blue cat specifically and the only ones I could find apart from this were very much a more 'beloved lost pet' kind of vibe than Christmas.
