That's really a terrible article. Exercise not only improves overall health but also burns calories(how many calories is up to the individual). The 200 pound man they used as an example would burn almost 1,000 calories running for one hour at 6mph. 1,000~ calories burned, 5 pounds lost per month, and improving his health is not "nothing much".
