Army Of Darkness was originally going to be called Medievil Dead. That makes so much sense and would have made a great movie, like, 20% greater.

TIL what a physic was (is?). On a related note, I don’t recommend watching The Princess Bride with anyone old enough to know that term.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

TIL 20% of all mammal species are bats, and 50% are rodents of different kinds.

The rodent thing wasn't really that surprising, but I never knew there were as many as 1,200 different types of bats. That's crazy.

Rodents aren't quite half, but it is in excess of 40%.

Also, I'm mentioned the bat thing on Discord before. You never listen to me!

"Morning Has Broken," which I always thought of as a Cat Stevens song, is actually a Christian hymn.

Here's the Cat Stevens version.

I learned it's actually a hymn thanks to The Handmaid's Tale.

There is a river on Staten Island named Fresh Kills. If I were a mafioso, I'd be convinced that it was trap and yet dump my fresh kills in that river anyways, because really, how can you resist?

The tradition of the heir to the English throne being titled Prince of Wales goes back to when Wales was first conquered. The possibly apocryphal story goes that when Edward I conquered Wales, he promised them that he would name a prince "born in Wales who did not speak a word of English", which the Welsh took to mean that they would be allowed some degree of self-government. Edward then moved his pregnant wife into one of his freshly built Welsh castles, and shortly thereafter named his infant son (who naturally couldn't speak a word of anything) Prince of Wales.
