What's even more comfortable is walking around without pants on at all.

I've tried, but that's not comfortable for me.

JamishT was a heck of a guy,
With a devilish twinkle in his eye.
With his hand-picked flowers,
And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

I also realized something minor. In the anime film, Your Name (aka: Kimi no Na-Wa), theres a scene where the male Protagonist drinks some Sake hidden away by the female Protagonist in an enclave, in order to reach her through time after she was confirmed to be dead in the present time. However... Earlier, we are shown that the Sake the male Protagonist drank was, ahem, "Traditionally made". You see, in ancient Japan, it was necessary that Sake be produced by virgin girls. What they would do was take some rice, chew it, then spit it back out into a container, and leave it some place to ferment.

So, with the male Protagonist having to drink the Sake in order to reconnect with the girl, that would mean that...

...Her drool is their bond.

So, do you ever reconnect with people you haven't seen in a while and find out what they've been up to and been completely surprised? Like, go-into-shock-because-holy-shit levels of surprise?

I found out over the weekend that my high school valedictorian accidentally drunkenly killed someone a few years ago.

Apparently, while he was attending grad school, he went to a party and got incredibly fucking drunk. Then he decided to drive himself back home, and wound up driving the wrong way down the highway and collided with a taxi cab head on. One of the taxi cab passengers was ejected from the car and died there. High school valedictorian friend got taken to the hospital and was charged with a variety of felonies; he got convicted of vehicular manslaughter last week.

I was unaware of any of this (the accident didn't happen in NY, so it wasn't covered by the news here), so it was super fucking weird when a mutual friend mentioned "Hey, did you see about [x]'s trial?" "His what???"

I wasn't super close to him or anything, but we did run in the same friend circles, and I even danced with him at prom. I also ran into him several weeks ago at a mutual friend's party, and we just shot the shit about movies and our favorite movie theaters in NYC. So it's just super fucking surreal to think, "Oh, while we were gabbing about Dunkirk, you were also probably prepping for your trial date. Because you killed a guy."

I don't know if I have a point to any of this, I'm just sort of mildly in shock over the whole thing.

This isn't anywhere close to RLG's experience, but somewhat apt.

Yesterday I ran into an old friend from uni. We haven't seen each other in ages. After the initial "what are you doing now" phase of the conversation died down I was almost praying "please don't talk about angling".

But no, 6 minutes into our conversation he started talking about angling. He's the provincial angling coach now, and his young son just got national colours in angling. Etc, etc.
20 years later and the guy hasn't changed a bit.

I was like a deer in the headlights of boredom. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Boredom crept in like a cockroach in a bad motel.

That's an excruciating 20 minutes of nodding and glazed over eyes I won't get back.

Some people really have to learn that their hobbies don't interest everyone, and act accordingly.

Technically correct, but some people only take interest after you begin to ... demonstrate.

Someone I never talked to in high school sent me a friend request on Facebook yesterday. When I accepted, she invited me to the event page for our ten-year reunion (to be held next November). I'm not sure if I'll go.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

Holy shit.

So, on twitter someone used a gif to react to a study that implied that 1 in 4 men didn't think pulling out the old Johnson was sexual harassment. They used a very common reaction gif that has Nathan Fillion. Someone then made a comment about Charlie Sheen being a POS. I commented that the person in the gif was not Sheen. They then asked why I was supporting Sheen. I said, I'm not, but the person in the gif is Nathan Fillion. They then thanked me for letting them know about the predator, Fillion. I'm like, WHAT?! NO NO. That is a reaction gif, I was merely telling you whom was in said gif.

They said they didn't appreciate my ruse.

I'm so confused now.
