Come on, it was a little bit not unfunny. Laughing at it won't make the events any less tragic or retroactively make anyone who does laugh into an accomplice or supporter of terrorism.
Or don't laugh if you don't think it's funny, that's fine too. I just have a problem when people say "you can't make fun of x because it diminishes whatever". To me, the only criterion that matters on whether or not to make a joke is if it's funny, there's nothing that should be sacred or off limits, and you certainly can't shy away from offending people because otherwise we couldn't laugh at anything, since there's always gonna be people who object to even the most ridiculous things. So if you're planning on making a racist joke, or make fun of the victims of a tragedy or anything like that, just make sure it is going to make at least someone laugh so it can be worth it.
