So why am I leaving? Ultimately, the board asked me to demonstrate higher user growth in the next six months than I believe I can deliver while maintaining reddit’s core principles.

This bothers me. Reddit is a very popular website, why should they tear themselves apart trying to be even more popular? Why does the CEO need to leave? She might not even have anything to do with this.
