The Last Of Us II

Postby KleinerKiller » Sat Dec 03, 2016 10:14 pm

After years of teases and hints that it might be a thing, it's a thing. The sequel to The Last Of Us is coming out, as revealed during the first day of Playstation Experience... though it's slated for 2018. And as perfect as the original game's ending was for the story it told, this looks to be a sequel that deserves to exist.

My heart is already quivering.

For anyone who's interested, the song Ellie sings is Through The Valley by Shawn James & The Shapeshifters.

Double post, but:

I read a few theories that Joel is dead, killed by the Fireflies, and the Joel in the trailer is in Ellie's head. And here's something I noticed: When Joel enters the house, he doesn't step in the water. An odd thing to notice, but it could be a hint that he isn't real, since a figment of one's imagination couldn't make ripples. And the way he steps out of the light like that looks symbolic as hell. Also, when the grass shifts when he enters the house, the camera pans, so you don't see Joel touching the grass. It could be the wind, as the trailer has consistently shown a breeze blowing in the house.

PS I never played the first game, but it did look interesting and I saw a lot of Let's Plays. And this trailer is beautiful, too.

Ehh... Don't like that she got a tattoo. Don't like that at all.

Anyway, apart from that I can't wait to see how that game unravels. I thought Joel's hair would be even more grey but it isn't, dude should be in his late 50's, unless he has been dying his hair black but who the heck would do that?

(perhaps this ghost theory might be correct)

I'd think that if my imagination could create an entire person from memory as if he were stood in front of me, it would be able to add ripples where necessary without any trouble.

We gots a new gameplay trailer!

Oh nooooooo Ellie is gaaaaaay that's totally forced and weird normal people are supposed to be- *vomits*

But seriously, super hyped. Visceral improvements to the combat? Gorgeous environmental design? Brutal, sickening violence with just as much impact as the first game? Making the "controversial" lesbian twist from the DLC up-front, undeniable text that's impossible for bigots to downplay? All good signs.

The more I see these teasers for awesome looking Sony exclusives, the closer I get to breaking the bank for a PS4.

Dear Vagina-Haver,
I would prefer it if you ceased your writing career, and instead focused on suicide.
