I don't have a huge stock of coal but I have plenty of wood. Can you trade me diamonds and how much charcoal do you want for each diamond?

I'd very much like to join the server.

Assuming your minecraft name is readerspite, you're now on the whitelist. If it doesn't work now, it will take effect on server restart, which I'll initiate once I notice that nobody is online.

Sure! Spawn is at x: 59, y: 93, z: 218, more or less.

I FELL OUT OF THE WORLD!!

Just now!

You know the holes you get, and it sometimes doesn't manage to load the chunk until right before you get there? And you always wonder what would happen if it didn't? But you (well, I) always assumed it would never let you get there without it being loaded?

I got there.

I fell like it was a real hole, but slowly, and I tried placing blocks under me, but they wouldn't place, although they disappeared from my inventory. And then it threw a fatal exception and when I reconnected I'd only sunk one block deep so I could jump out.

The whole thing was incredibly surreal and pretty scary (I had my really nice enchanted bow and diamond sword, and other stuff I'd have hated to lose in the bowels of the earth like I thought I was going to - quite aside from the fact that for all the lack of realism I find the more drawn-out deaths in Minecraft, like suffocating, fairly harrowing. Although in all honesty it would have been worth it for the bragging rights).

Are you back on land or do you need me to teleport you out?

When I reconnected after it crashed, I was back on land. I think if I hadn't I'd have suffocated anyway. Thanks for the offer though.

Oh yeah! That happened to me before. It's not something that could kill you. It happens on all servers because of lag or your chunks aren't loading properly.
Trust me. I know about these things.

The minecraft server has been offline for a couple of weeks because I forgot to update it since 1.7.9. Sorry for dragging my feet, but it's back up!

I started a single player world while it was down. I have three horses and an idyllic forest home.

Destroy it. All our players must be solely dedicated to the TCS Minecraft server. All hail the TCS Minecraft server, may its name be exalted. Holy Holy Holy is Multicraft, Lord of Hosting.

No! I just built a farm. And there's actual flat land for building on that isn't above cloud level. I haven't had to go above cloud level once yet.

Resurrecting this thread to ask if anyone who used to play on the TCS Server has a lead I can borrow. I'm playing on Hardcore, and for the life of me, I can't find any slimes.

Edit: Nevermind. Got some.

So I played around a lot on this server after everyone lost interest. And that was fun. But I feel a bit like I'm wandering through the ruins of once great and mighty empire. I created a lovely little flying fortress off the coast of the mainland. But really, it is not much fun being Ozymandius when there is not even a occasional traveler from an antique land to stop and comment on the lack of my mighty works.

Just throwing this out there, how about a clean slate? Maybe a flatter terrain? I know you guys must have poured hours into this server during its heyday. But what is the fun in playing with legos if you can't demolish everything and start from square one every now and then?
