I'm Always Chasing Rainbows

At the end of the rainbow there's happiness
And to find it how often I've tried
But my life is a race
Just a wild goose chase
And my dreams have all been denied
Why have I always been a failure
What can the reason be
I wonder if the world's to blame
I wonder if it could be me
I'm always chasing rainbows, watching clouds drifting by
My schemes are just like all my dreams
Ending in the sky
Some fellows look and find the sunshine
I always look and find the rain
And some fellows make a winning sometime
And I never even make a gain
I'm always chasing rainbows waiting to find the little bluebird in vain

"I Get Overwhelmed", the theme from "A Ghost Story". It fits that movie (one of two movies in 10 years that made me legit cry) perfectly, and, also, is a jam.

Author and Punisher - Nihil Strength

I just found out this guy exists. He's a former mechanical engineer who custom makes his own "drone machines" and makes his own brand of "industrial doom" which sounds overwhelming and brutal while still being somewhat accessible. I love it.

This acoustic cover of Dio's "Rainbows in the Dark" is beautiful:

It's sung by the same guy in a clown suit that sang this cover of Lorde's "Royals."

"Weakness" by Opeth, from Damnation

My one gripe with this album is that I think the vocals aren't prominent enough in this song.

Joanna Newsom "Sprout and The Bean"

I've listened to her Divers countless times and it's solidly among my favorite albums of all time. So I figured it was time to start branching out a bit.

a surprisingly catchy bluegrass cover of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters:

Here’s the original, for reference:

Czarface vs. Ghostface

Between this, finding a new Sean Price album produced by Small Professor and the Mario Maker 2 announcement it was a good Valentine's Day.

I was listening to KGNU's bluegrass program, and they had a funny song from the Austin Lounge Lizards (no on YouTube), but I started listening to some of their other songs.

This is the song I've needed for the past two+ years.

"We've Been Through Some Crappy Times Before."
