I like Devin Townsend. I did not used to like Devin Townsend when he was the frontman of Strapping Young Lad - not because of him as a person but because I have an overactive imagination and whenever I saw them in Metal Hammer he was pulling a scary face and I used to be scared Alice Cooper was crouched on my back so I didn't also need him there too you know?
ANYWAY
I WENT TO see DT twice these past two months and just came back from seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall this week. You should listen.
I've heard some of Townsend's work, and I tend to enjoy it. I liked what he did in SYL, and I've liked the bits and pieces of his solo work that I've heard since he went that route. He's one of those artists I need to take the time and give a more proper listen to.

I have been listening to him for 4 or 5 years now and have always been amused by his work. I got the chance to see him when he was touring with Animals as Leaders in Cleveland this past year. He puts on a phenomenal show, in music and in stage presence.
